Pros
- Free lunch and dinner
- Decent way to get your first entry-level job to put on your resume and become more marketable to recruiters
- Lots of great new grads to work with
Cons
1) Culture is not great - sudden public firings are not uncommon for this company, they have a culture of not compensating their employees enough (ie they layoff a bunch of workers before they hit their 1-year mark to avoid giving them their share of equity/bonus from their contract)
2) Upper management lacks proper leadership - micromanagement is prevalent amongst the upper management, there is a lack of trust and communication with employees, high expectations, and overall poor people management and collaboration skills (part of my role required me to send him a copy of every email and LinkedIn message I ever received for his approval before I could send a response back)
3) Low Employee Satisfaction - I had a lot of friends on different teams who said they were miserable from being overworked on meaningless projects, completing monotonous tasks, and not being compensated enough for the quantity and quality of work that they were putting in
4) Turnover is high - I was shocked to learn how many employees don't last more than 6 months to a year. As a result, most employees feel like their work has little impact
