Pros

The one category HomHero excels in is company values. The company allowed me the flexibility to work on projects of my choosing, as well as give me guidance if I began to struggle. The company always challenged me to do the hard thing and to strive for real value rather than perceived value. I was never penalized for failing. Rather, if I was able to show why I failed and how a process or project can be improved, I was rewarded for my good efforts. I always felt welcomed and intellectually challenged while working for this company. My projects ranged from writing articles for TechCrunch to marketing to churches across SF, LA, and SD. The founder, Kyle Hill, in particular, was an exceptional mentor and employer. Watch any video of him or read any bio, and you'll learn why he is such an exceptional leader. I see his company going very far and helping many people, and I count myself humbled and honored to have worked for him. I highly recommend any forward-thinking and passionate individual to apply to this company. You will not be disappointed.

Cons

Some of the downsides, along with any startup, is that the company moves very quickly. Tensions rise when we work long hours and have conflicting ideas to approach a problem. At times, it was confusing to determine who was in charge of whom and to tell where the line should have been drawn to listen or challenge a person in leadership. Nonetheless, as with all conflicts at HomeHero, they are resolved with kind words and no hard feelings.

Pros

HomeHero constantly challenges its employees to better themselves, both personally and professionally. The company evolves quickly, as do all startups, and the key to professional success at HomeHero is adaptability. Transparency is crucial at HomeHero, and the cofounders are open to all forms of conversation regarding any matter, especially those changes noted above. Benefits are killer, location is beautiful; most importantly, the team is excited to work every day. The work we do is impactful, and we work in a space that is teeming with innovation at all fronts.

Cons

Constant change can leave employees confused about the company's vision. With a series of changes, whether expected or unexpected, employees are left to deal with the fallout. HomeHero strives to be transparent as a company, and these changes are usually explained thoroughly, but the change still takes time to be adjusted to.
