Pros

I had a really fun team that I loved to work with.

Cons

They really don't want to pay you much, in fact they kind of go out of their way not to. If you are not a sales rep good luck to you. They got tons of bonuses and when we tried to get that for our team it was shot down, despite us collecting and contacting all of the leads for the sales team. Asking for a raise after being there a year was supposedly unheard of, it was like pulling teeth to get a raise and when I did it was small. So they don't seem too concerned about trying to keep long-term employees. Not a very livable wage. At the time I was working there, only men were interviewed and hired for the sales team, and only women were interviewed and hired for the secretary team. I found that frustrating and very odd... Super disorganized, not overly honest. Severe favoritism. Our manager did his best to keep a good work environment, but it seemed difficult for him sometimes. Truthfully I just feel that Ian (the owner) is just an odd, very greedy man.

Pros

Owner recognizes the need for investment in training. And provides training! Loaded with inbound leads (booked 2 weeks out) Company vehicle was new and equipment worked well Lots of freedom!

Cons

The investment in the training was unfortunately Grant Cardone University. While any training is always great, the content isn’t tailored for pest control sales (which is its own beast). The actual “gems” provided in the training are very simple and the excessive time required for watching videos is a distraction from actual sales work. Hopefully they don’t have to waste more time/money to realize they’ve become prey to a predatory scam. Inbound leads are booked 2 weeks out. Meaning those inbound leads are aged 2 weeks. Those hot leads “I have rats in my attic, termites in my kitchen please send someone as soon as possible!!” are put on ice. To add more nonsense. Salespeople are not allowed to prioritize inspections or manage their own calendars. The calendar is always changing. The vehicle have a camera on me 24/7 and now I have an exhibitionist kink. I had a lot of freedom to focus on my sales because I didn’t participate in the mandatory daily camera-on zoom meetings, That were demoralizing at worst and unmotivating at best.
