Pros

Good work culture, non for profit, really helps patients who may not have the financials for care, benefits are good

Cons

Pay is only ok, furloughed lots of staff for covid, terminated positions of managers who had been there 25 plus years, seems like they have no loyalty to their staff. I was only there 6 months so I understand my termination. I just can't imagine letting go of very experienced and loyal employees

Thank you very much for your review! Health care is a growing, changing, and demanding field, no matter what part of the organization you work for. We are proud of our benefits at HSHS and feel they stand out compared to our competitors. Our culture and team work are also something to be proud of and we are so glad that you experienced positivity in those while with us!

Pros

Best work environment I've seen in healthcare. Everyone is friendly and works together. They also have a fantastic residency program for new grads.

Cons

As every place, they expect too much from staff and you may not feel supported by management. However I will say that my opinion is colored by me working night shift.

Pros

Clinical staff were great, lots of skills to be gained, building is clean and spacious, in and outdoor seating for lunch, cheap insurance compared to other local healthcare organizations

Cons

30 minute lunch, only one microwave and two lunch shifts for entire office, have to use your PTO when they are closed for holidays and in my opinion you do not get much time the first 5 years, the office manager at that time (no longer there) was difficult to be around, same responsibilities and workload as LPN and RN with much less pay of course
