Pros
The district has a lot of resources and extra programs available to help students. Pay is competitive with other districts as far as I understand. My own children have many opportunities to enter magnet programs and we can choose from many different kinds of programs. I feel their dual language program has prepared them well.
Cons
Discipline problems are increasing. Our principal is afraid to disciplline students for fear of parent reaction, so discipline problems continue to grow. It's become difficult to teach; we have students screaming and throwing fits (and furniture) every day, but nothing is done to address it.. The district listens to parents before employees, so if I have a serious issue, I have to convince a parent to say something.
