Pros
HISD gives you real time experience for urban schools. Great place for teachers from TFA, with no prior classroom experience or training.
Cons
Very data driven, pushes students with tests each month, which actually takes away from instructional time. Extremely militant appraisal system. Unprofessional staff on campuses. Anyone can really teach here...which isn't a compliment.
