Pros
Great place to work at. No room for growth unless someone leaves. Good investment into ideas and creativity. Some training opportunities though must be justified (self improvement without direct company benefit limited). Good in-house six sigma training.
Cons
Lack of internal growth. Inability to deal with `un co-operative` engineers creating disparity within departments. Lack of management support for pay rises. Often suggestions need hard financial justification for larger investment amounts (which makes sense, but isn't always possible without crystal ball lol..). Though these are minor cons when considering a great community spirit and advanced range of technical processes to get stuck into. Though lack of pay rises compared to shop floor (union driven) is an annual sting which is brushed under the carpet.
