Pros
The plant operates with two labor unions. Working with personnel, through the union, will sharpen your skills with employee training, record retention, and better department management. All of the supervisors and managers work well together. The culture, at that level, is one of encouragement and a genuine team, mentality.
Cons
There is a definite disconnect between upper-management and the leadership in the facility. Human Resources works to promote the corporate agenda, rather than advocate for the well-being of salary and hourly employees in the plant. More responsibilities, such as; more departments; more employees; more projects; more programs; are added each year, without a review or increase to one's salary. Most employees would rather have the opportunity to receive yearly bonuses, than see money being used for prize programs, achievement luncheons, and the bi-yearly Family Day Fairs.
