Pros
- My work is varied and engaging, with plenty of opportunities to learn and improve. (And progress!)
- The people of Hydra are a wonderful and diverse mix. I have no direct personal problems with anybody, which is refreshing to say for a company of around 20 staff.
- The office is just generally a nice place to be! It certainly doesn’t feel like you’re off to any soulless 9-5 working here.
- After working here for 18 months, I can see how the business has listened to previous feedback left by myself and other colleagues (both past and present). Management actually listen and amend their ways, instead of just claiming they do.
- Finally, worth mentioning is the inclusiveness. As an open and out trans woman, I've been thoroughly impressed with Hydra and everyone there. "Everyone is welcome" is what I was told, and "Everyone is welcome" is what I have experienced.
Cons
- There have been tough deadlines for some jobs, that’s just how working for an agency goes. There have been times of slight crunch every now and again, but this is absolutely not the norm.
- The only other thing worth mentioning, is the nature of my job role means that remote work is tricky, or not quite possible in all cases.
