Pros

- Working with children (2.5 to 12 years) is great - Minimal lesson prep required (just use the materials given, no brainer) - If you are lucky, you can get into a good centre with great colleagues! (not all centres are great though)

Cons

- Top-down management who don't care about teachers' well-being - Management pretends to care by giving 1 care package (some pieces of biscuits and vitamin c) and a log cake during christmas - very superficial acts of 'caring' - Dismiss all teachers' feedback and suggestions when coming up with new changes - Give teachers redundant work to fill up time, instead of allowing teachers to come in later - If you have no classes, you still have to stay in the centre. Not allowed to leave even 1 minute early. There are daily sign in and sign out sheets - no trust / autonomy for teachers. - MICROMANAGEMENT at its finest - NO CAREER PROGRESSION - grand plans of promotion (5 tiers) were announced, but no teachers were actually promoted - Ridiculous incentive if you don't take MC for an entire year - HIGH EMPLOYEE TURNOVER rate because this company simply doesn't care for its employees

Pros

The people here are generally friendly, communicative, and easy to work with. Management is willing to listen to feedback, and employees do feel appreciated for their contributions. Also had exposure to working with different departments, which helped me learn to adapt and communicate with various stakeholders. The company also puts in effort to boost morale through small welfare initiatives such as monthly goodies like fruits, and ice cream sessions.

Cons

While the working environment is generally positive, there are still areas where internal communication and collaboration across teams can be improved. Cross-functional collaboration could benefit from clearer ownership, stronger alignment, and more open communication between departments. Currently, the lack of a centralized communication platform can sometimes result in conversations and updates being scattered across different channels.
