Pros

Good 401k match. Good PTO.

Cons

The good culture IAT once had is quickly vanishing. The workload is unbearable and the benefits/salary do not compensate for the lack of work life balance. Almost everyone I talk to at IAT is looking for a new job due to low salary and other places allowing people to work from home. The current work from home policy is a joke and if you're not in the office HR will reach out asking why. IAT does not walk the talk with the diversity. We are told by HR to cast a wider net when opening a new role, yet another white male was hired within leadership.

I appreciate you sharing your perspective, and I feel compelled to respond. No doubt the challenges of Covid and everything that came with it is impacting work culture. We’ve worked really hard to build an engaged culture and it will continue to be a priority for us, along with competitive compensation and generous benefits. We’ve also returned to offices with a hybrid work week to allow more flexibility which has been very well received by many of our employees. Diversity and inclusion are integral to the culture, and our commitment to driving diversity and inclusion has absolutely been evidenced in action at IAT. As you point out, we have broadened our interview slates and panels very intentionally to include a greater diversity of candidates and interviewers. This, along with many other efforts, has helped to increase the diversity of our workforce. In terms of hiring ‘yet another white male,’ we are casting a wider net, interviewing a variety of candidates and ultimately, we will hire the best qualified person for the position, no matter skin color, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age or a host of other qualities or characteristics.

Pros

Extremely generous 401k match, great amount of PTO (even as a new employee), College Loan Payment Assistance (Yes, you read that right! It's unique and amazing). Days are busy with engaging and interesting work but hours are typically fairly regular, leaving sufficient time and personal capacity to fully enjoy my life outside of work - great balance which is one of the things I enjoy most about working at IAT! Most of claims is now on one amazing claim system - state of the art! Fantastic progress vs. just a few years ago when IAT claims was working in numerous outdated, difficult systems.

Cons

Small company which can feel a bit limiting in terms of career path. However, IAT really leverages every opportunity to help employees have their desired careers, switch lines of business, etc. Small down side relative to the many advantages of working for IAT.
