Pros

I had many capable and pleasant colleagues.

Cons

IES does not pay the baseline entry level salary for a college graduate in Chicago. But the president makes more than $1.2 million and the COO makes over $500,000. There is no mobility for most positions. But they are surprised when people leave.

Pros

Good retirement match and comprehensive Healthcare plans. Flexible hybrid work environment.

Cons

Employer passed off healthcare increases to employees rather than subsidizing. Company wide freeze on promotions and raises while CEO got a 124% increase. CEO continually flies first class internationally and brings his spouse (check IRS tax filings on Propublica). Frustrating disconnect at upper management level, very poor future planning with system rebuild.
