Business outlook
Pros
Opportunities to travel, engage with customers and direct own workload. Regional structure allows exposure to multiple markets and diverse set of colleagues. Clear career ladder and salary bands. Good benefits, especially pension. Some very political but also some really great people
Cons
At the mercy of having a good manager to be given opportunities. Limited HR support and painfully slow (> 1yr) process to promote team members. Known to pay less than competitors. Resistant to employees wearing multiple hats, even when ability or potential to do so is clear. Level of support/investment in resources differs depending on the category. Numbers are lean and workload can be very high, more so in some countries than others.
