Pros

IMRIS offers amazing benefits and opportunities to connect with teammates. A flexible work schedule with an opportunity to work from home is also appreciated. Love the small company atmosphere, where you can really get to know your co-workers. The work that IMRIS does makes a difference in the lives of patients globally, and that is meaningful.

Cons

Location can be a challenge in hiring, as Chaska, MN is not a hub for medical device.

Pros

- Coworkers were competent and good natured and forthright. - HR does an excellent job at fostering teamwork and employee morale - Flexible work schedule - Better than average pay and benefits - Staff is trying to make positive change.

Cons

- Past bankruptcy and high employee turnover has created some very large technical and operational problems that may never be resolved without large investment. - Despite what the job description says there is no almost no NPD engineering work. It is almost entirely about putting band-aids on an obsolete design, wading through messy piles of unfinished work made by dozens of engineers who never stayed more than year and fixing past mistakes in documentation while falling backwards. - Job satisfaction is is zero. - Any engineering action takes months to complete due to overbearing regulatory process. You will spend most of your time trying not to change anything. - Management looks down on their employees and treats them like servants that are not allowed to speak unless spoken to. Some of them do not even live in MN.
