Locomotive (formerly IMS Marketing) is run by a small, tight-knit leadership team, and the culture reflects that. New ideas and fresh thinking are not really welcomed, so if you join hoping to improve things, expect to hit walls. It is a toxic blame culture. When something goes wrong, the focus is on who to blame, not how to fix it. People end up carrying blame for things they did not do, which makes it hard to feel safe raising issues or trying anything new. There is a clear inner circle too, and if you are not in it, recognition and progression feel out of reach no matter how hard you work. Workloads are heavy, pay rises are minimal, and bonuses do not always turn up the way you are led to expect. So many people have left in the last few months that it is hard to call it coincidence. In my experience it comes back to poor leadership, and the effect wears people down over time.
