THEY OWN YOU... No home/ work life balance. Forced to work 50+/hrs a week on SALARY - Lead Consultant Ideal Image Employee Review

Pros

Decent income potential, but you work 50-60 hours a week for it. This is the only benefit and for most of us, our exhaustion forces us to spend the income on medical care or at home short cuts to compensate for our absence.

Cons

Even though you are a salaried employee, you are told you have to work 6 days a week the last week of the month and five, 10 hour days the other weeks. You will stay some nights until 10pm after opening at 8:30am. No balance with home-life at all and they don't care--- they say you are LUCKY to have a job. If you raise a concern, you are immediately deemed a "boat rocker" and are investigated by the company internally until they find a reason to let you go... even if it was a simple mistake. I have been fortunate enough to have evaded this, but only because I keep my mouth shut and my eyes down. Growing weary of this. Wish senior management, Bruce Fabel- new Pres., would be willing to listen to their employees and be flexible. Would love to stay but the stress in this company is lethal and toxic.
