Fire culture with empty values - Senior Account Manager Ideas Collide Employee Review

After starting at Ideas Collide I was shocked they had been rated one of the best places to work in Phoenix. Ideas Collide is outdated in its marketing/SEO practices and fosters a fire culture. Simple things such as a single file sharing system and basic new employee onboarding documents are non existent. Managers are micro-managers, never allowing employees to do their jobs, in any department, without extreme supervision; they call it executive oversight. It's all chiefs and no indians at Ideas Collide(sorry for the poor taste analogy). Something that really irked me was the idea that I was required to work more than full time hours. I would constantly receive emails needing my attention past 8pm and on weekends. Employees are regularly at the office after 6pm and need to work on the weekends to keep up with the workload. Everything was a fire, everything needed to be done now. If basic processes were in place, this wouldn't be the case. Expectations are unrealistically set with clients. Let's chat about their "values." Ideas Collide touts that they live by their code, their values. I found their values to be empty. For example, a main value is to work smarter yet when I presented a modern way to streamline their content production process I was met with "concerns" at every corner. The phrase "this is how we've always done it" is constantly used and really should be their #1 value if were basing it off actions. The reason I decided to quit was due to how the CEO treated me. When a "fire", which turned out to not be a fire at all, erupted he treated me like vermin. His choice of words and actions were deplorable. I have too much self respect to allow anyone, regardless of their title, to treat me as such. You do not own me because I work for your company. **Last note: They only offer 10 days of PTO which they feel is generous. Yikes!
