Thanks for the feedback, we’re bummed to hear you feel this way. We’re glad that you recognize that we have a ton of really great people working here, and we’re as passionate about them as they are about Imgur.
In regards to your feedback around our leadership team being private and non-communicative, we would love to know what areas you found to be secretive. We actually make it a point to outline and share product strategy, operational metrics, revenue and financial information, and even the company’s Board Deck, so that everyone not only understands the health and direction of the company, but can also visualize how each employees’ contributions translate into Imgur’s success.
Our leaders make it a point to be very accessible. Anyone can meet with our CEO at any time, and he encourages it by holding open office hours. Additionally, anyone from any organization can sign up to go out to lunch with our CEO and other employees cross functionally, or grab him for a walk and/ or a game of smash brothers any day of the week.
We also have at least 6 different ways in which we collect regular feedback from employees, that range from totally anonymous to face to face, to encourage people to submit their feedback and ideas about moving the company forward in whatever way they feel most comfortable.
Imgur was initially created as a gift to the internet to solve for the lack of simple image uploaders. Since then, we’ve evolved and changed into something much bigger, so this is just the beginning for our long term product vision, and we can’t wait for what’s to come.
Thanks again for your feedback, and your work during your time with us. We wish you the best luck in your journey.
