Pros
Middle level management and lower are great, they genuinely care about you and treat you like family. Super fun to go out with and made some life long friends here.
Cons
Not sure where to start... when I joined the company was great, slowly I started to see why the company has suffered extreme turnover (roughy 120 employees have left, some started and left in my time here). Here's why: the CEO is out of touch, he is emotional and speaks without thinking of the repercussions on the staff and business. For example, mandated everyone back to office with 3 days notice - not sure how anyone is supposed to rearrange their life and find child care in that time frame. While laying people off due to some business decisions made that didn't work out, he mentioned how he is being affected too because he is losing his vacation home in Whistler, while most of are struggling to pay rent and losing our source of income. I have watched him harass employees in company wide meetings for not hitting targets (new employees too!) and he does not support the growth of his team like he says he does. He is against change and flexibility. Currently still markets positions as having monthly catered breakfast and lunches (haven't happened for over a year and a bit). They start you off at a completely unlivable wage ($35,000 per year) - rough take home after paying rent on your base is 10K. Say they are more focused on results than KPIs but if you're not making 25+ calls a day, you're not doing your job according to the CEO. CEO expects you to work like a dog, has multiple times told us to work extra hours and sees going home on time as someone that isn't committed to their career. The only real perk is the beer keg, which used to be open everyday after 4 pm, now only open after 4 pm on Friday and they remove the handle during the week because apparently we are children. Rarely hear about celebrating employees for their hard work, rather he tells you to work harder day in and day out if you want to see the commission he hasn't been able to pay you yet. Complaints were submitted to HR about bullying and harassment by another employee and nothing was done, HR is a joke at this company. The current HR does not have HR training and would highly benefit from the guidance of an actual HR professional before they get themselves into a legal issue, I have heard multiple instances where the HR has made illegal statements to employees and ex employees. Senior Management are yuppie puppy dogs that go along with anything that the CEO says, they are too scared to challenge him even though they are supposed to be sticking up for their team. Their practices are backwards and so money driven even though they state their goal is to help people with their upward mobility, if targets aren't hit, the CEO takes it out on employees instead of assessing what tools or training could be introduced to help people succeed. No one offered me information on how I could improve or grow my career, what I could work on, etc., even though I asked countless times.
