Pros
-decent pay if you negotiate correctly when hired (they will lowball you if possible) -a bit of downtime throughout the day as calls/tickets do not come in consistently -snacks always available -benefits plan/pto is ok -you will learn a ton because it is a "startup" -full network admin access -paid training time, paid Juniper certifications
Cons
-Management picks favorites with employees (and makes it obvious) -office is loud as you are next to sales team who are making calls and blasting music and constantly cussing/using profanity (users can hear that) -Lots of gossip in the office behind peoples backs, you can be sure they're gossiping about you too when you're gone -coworkers do not help you and expect you to figure it out when you aren't sure about something because they had to when they started, so now you have to figure it out on your own too -Small knowledge base, you're expected to know exactly what to do anyway, no one adds to it when performing a complicated task, which makes it take longer for everyone and hurts the IT team as a whole -Employees consistently throughout day are smoking weed/thc oil through a pen and management does not stop it -If you do anything disagreeable with management, you will forever be on their bad side, and there is no chance at redemption -Sales team member from sister office quoted saying "we should only have straight white men working in our office. Women and minorities don't do the job right" -Toxic work environment
