Pros

Met some great co-workers, decent health coverage, great stock plan

Cons

Serious micromanaging issue and very bad problems with upper management being hostile, unapproachable and lacking any communication or people skills (which is a must for management). Work load not divided up fairly. No impartial, confidential or fair HR so no where to go with any problems or concerns. A lot of fighting and anger between workers due to being excessively overburdened with work and no management they can ask for help with the work and no HR to take the management issue to. Frequent turnover rate in certain departments due to the management issues and unfair work load so those departments are always behind causing more stress on the other workers. Iffy billing practices. Very unhappy place to work in all areas, would not recommend to anyone.

Pros

Fast paced job with great opportunity for advancement. You have to be extraordinary to be recognized, but it generally means the best people are the ones that get chances for career advancement. Highly competitive company that has a diversified portfolio. Impulse is not satisfied with the status quo in the IOM industry which is painfully evident at other companies that provide 'traditional' services at below market rates. Nice to be a part of a company that is supported by a broader organization (NuVasive).

Cons

Lots of change each year as a result of merger/acquisition activity. Can be confusing on where to go for certain elements of the business as the company has grown to over 500 employees on the service side.

Pros

Everyone in the company looks out for your best interests, and is invested in your long term education as well as further training.

Cons

The job is stressful, the hours can be either great or torture depending on the week. Not enough individual attention to the amount of work you do.
