Pros

Mostly have a good work/life balance.

Cons

The bottom line is what matters. Tend to look out for their own benefit and protect those that have been with the company for a long time. Operate by double standards.

Pros

Maritime industry is interesting. Boarding ships is fun. Providing great customer support is rewarding.

Cons

Incompetent and untrustworthy management. No direction or goals for our team, new customer acquisition, or any type of growth/improvement. Unable or unwilling to train. They assure you "work/life balance" in the interviews, then expect you to work 50 to 55 hours per week for 14, 21, sometimes 30 days in a row. I should have listened when the recruiter told me there was a 70% turnover rate (can't recall if it was for the role or the company), but I wanted to work in the maritime industry. If you're offered a job here, decline and wait it out to find a better company.
