Management is pretty open and up front with very little politics Lots of smart folks have the freedom to get stuff done Volunteer opportunities encouraged Good work / life balance esp. for a startup (I think it's the works smarter not harder mentality)

Comp & benefits are only average for the tech space

Opportunities to talk directly with customers (not hidden away). Community volunteer opportunities. Regular contact & feedback from management.

Reviews are not supposed to be about salary & salary lags behind going market rate. Opportunties for growth are limited & are more a formulaic & out of a management book rather than about the individual Leaders / management are average to below average talent-wise. Subject matter (patents) sounds cool from the outside, but the product is tailored around and sold mostly to bottom-feeding lawyers & businessmen who want to garner licensing fees (not the inventors). London-based acquirer (CPA) is a pretty backwards organization.
