A horrible place to work - Anonymous employee Insight Editions Employee Review

Pros

Some of the books are really great. The licenses are top notch. There are some good people that work there but the good ones keep leaving.

Cons

It is a thankless place to work. We were always set up to fail. The company laid off people last fall because it was not meeting its goals. The reason is that there is no editorial planning. Books are added to the list without the time enough to create them. It has been the same for years. We all are set up to fail from the start. The CEO creates constant confusion and chaos by randomly getting in the middle of projects without telling your manager. Nobody knows what is happening. People are so stressed, so unhappy, so overworked. It is a sick environment where you can't succeed and you are treated as if you are the problem when you don't. Please don't go to work here.

Pros

- Remote - Fun clients - Nice publicists

Cons

- They will do anything to not pay you. I had to fight for 3 months to be paid what I was owed, and have heard this from many others - The pay is abysmal, below what anyone should accept for their role - Absolutely insane management - Very shady with contracts, almost had to take them to court
