Pros

Instaclustr has a great working culture, a lot of really smart people and a lot of cool technology. People here are extremely friendly and easy to work with and have a clear focus on doing the job right, pretty much everyone has autonomy in their work. There is no needless red tape to go through to get stuff done, just a small number of checks and balances to guide engineers to make the best choices. As of writing (March 2021), there are weekly team events catered for by Instaclustr, usually Friday Happy Hour. With larger events typically occurring once every month or two which usually involve going out as a company to do something. We get free branded swag as well, jumpers, t-shirts, thongs/flip flops, etc. Goes nicely with the casual dress code, so no uncomfortable suits or ties.

Cons

Typical growing pains of a smaller company, usually around spacing/seating or not enough equipment, these issues are usually resolved very quickly.

Pros

-Great team: enjoy working with my team and cross functionally. Feels like a family, people care about you. People have been at the company for years, that says something. -Industry: hot industry that is continually growing, only meaning more potential for Instaclustr -Opportunity to grow: Company promotes from within, career development available -Culture: Great culture to be a part of. We originated in Australia so the combination of US and AUS culture is great

Cons

-Growing Pains: with any company that is growing out of the start-up phase into a bigger company experiences growing pains just need to make sure to adjust properly. -Flat Org Structure: leadership and management is heavily involved in day to day. Can sometimes take awhile for decisions to be made or approvals
