I have been a part of instahyre for around 4 years now and will be better at telling:
1. Ancient tech stack where you will be expected to keep latency as per new frameworks.
2. You are asked to review code, do tasks even on leave.
3. Office culture so toxic, often people get sick, penny amout of leaves, no wfh even in emergency and people are burning themselves in office.
4. New engineering manager has made the culture toxic who will micro-manage you a lot, call you at 10pm for small issues, you can check on linkedin where he came from and he has that ego of his previous organization, even heard of him putting our best dev on pip stopping his bonusses. Things were good before him.
5. CEO will review your code and ask so dumb questions and will ask you to explain, and if he fails to understand tech he will burst on you being not good enough to make him understand the problem.
6. No code architecture, tightly coupled modules, no unit testing, bug prone codebase.
7. No job security, hiring and firing scene, knowing the market they dont care, just fire at the time of appraisals and get new interns people for less.
