Pros
-has had several really positive changes -main office cares, is going to all sites to see firsthand what’s happening in the programs and homes -toxic staff are starting to be held accountable -the CEO that was hired a few months ago has brought in some very favourable trainings and new outlooks -the owner is involved, and knows the staff by name -managers are treated as though they matter, which filters down to the frontline staff -majority of staff are very supportive with each other -the people in our homes and programs are the sweetest people you’ll meet -the work is highly rewarding! -if you’re working 20+ hrs per week, benefits are paid for by the company -diversity and inclusivity is welcomed -supportive feedback is given often, at all levels
Cons
-because there’s been a previous level of dissatisfaction from a few loud and strong opinioned staff, morale had dropped. Trying to re-build a positive and healthy work environment takes all members participating. This is a bit exhausting for the 90% willing, when 10% want to hang on to negativity and toxicity. -previous negative reviews on forums often don’t even have comments applicable to current staff, however, the reviews are out there appearing like it’s fact when it’s not
