Pros

The engineering work is very interesting, you deal directly with experimental products and new ICs, how they function and how to bias them fully. They deal directly with customers who are producing the new tech. Each engineer is essentially a team of 1 who is free to ask questions of his/her peers.

Cons

The equipment is very old and few people outside of technical employees know what the testers actually do or what any of the values truly indicate. The management is very high demand and high stress - their focus is production numbers and nothing else. But most importantly: Raises are irregular and do not keep up with increasing cost of living.

Pros

Pros: Strong place to build early-career experience and develop core professional skills. Most employees are supportive and personable. There is a strong sense of loyalty among long-tenured staff. Overall: A solid foundation for early-career professionals, but long-term growth and meaningful organizational improvement are constrained by leadership instability, cultural resistance to change, and outdated systems.

Cons

The organization lacks a consistent long-term vision and clear strategic direction. Frequent turnover at the leadership and management levels limits continuity and slows progress. The culture is highly relationship-driven, which often favors long-standing insiders and makes it difficult for new leaders or change agents to implement improvements. While formal guidelines exist, many are outdated and inconsistently enforced, resulting in operational gaps and inefficiencies.
