Pros
Remote, Amazing QHMP peers, & Options for overtime.
Cons
Funding expectations prioritized over care for callers, There’s no where else to have SI/HI/SIB conversations and we’re demanded to get emotional support callers with thoughts off the phone within 30 minutes, Schedulers not listening to needs of QHMPs or QLEADS (maybe QLEADS gaslit me into thinking they understood and would pass it up the ladder to get on my schedule and for two months it wasn’t - I had to come in on my time off to create what I needed to succeed causing burnout during training), Training leadership is “afraid of getting in trouble” which has created a “yes” environment, Micro managing, Too many leads and supervisors, Training program has been restructured recently and is not working (feedback from several QHMPs) (( Although the QHMP role is perfect for AuDHD folx - as is, this is not a neurodivergent friendly workplace despite what’s shared about culture and flexibility with the training schedule, Cliques are created which causes division, Can’t speak to the roles of supervisors or leads but we’re gaslit to believe they’re there to help and support our growth but it’s lip service based on my extensive experience during training and practicum, You’re encouraged to provide feedback through training but when you do you’re met with defensiveness and you’re put under a microscope causing training to be prolonged based on others perceptions rather than what you’re literally sharing, They are hoping to create this amazing culture but it’s an illusion - as is, it’s a toxic work environment for a QHMP.
