Pros
The majority of the people are good and hard-working. The job is great for beginners in the field to learn.
Cons
Not counting the low pay, long hours, high level of stress, management expecting you to work after-hours from home, lack of QA, lack of peer review, and lack of good equipment?
The one thing that made the job unbearable at the end was my boss's complete disregard for his employees. He doesn't respect them as people, and it becomes more and more painfully evident the more time you spend with him.
It didn't help that his legally questionable and morally reprehensible personal lifestyle bled over into work while he made almost no attempt to hide it.
