Pros

Smaller contractor so you know your peers. Good experience for younger people who need O & G experience

Cons

Too many family members working together. The manner in which business is run still seems antiquated. Pay is not competitive. There is not room for people to move up in the company. Senior Management actually gave themselves bigger titles, but did nothing for the rest of the group. The President is very far removed from day to day business and does not know most of the employees for such a small company.

Pros

People-The people that work there are great and while the work consisted of long hours sometimes (12 hrs shifts) the team work made the time pass fast. Since of adventure- You work in the middle of the gulf in clear blue water doing work thats exciting, and gives one a since of accomplishment . They also have work in other countries (Several African countries, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, trinidad and tobago, malaysia and a few other countries Advancement opportunities- Start as a rigger, then work up to a welder or operator, Then a supervisor. You can move up depending on how much you learn and positions available so less chances towards the top but still chances for a raise based on performanceand can also be picke for special projects based on performance

Cons

Work is not always easy May be away from home for long periods of time( maybe up to around 3 months but only for really good employees) Not all the vessels used have the same comforts( internet, television, food quality etc.)
