Engineer oriented company where the worst developer is preferred to best "anyone else" and deemed superior. Most of the mid and high-level positions are distributed among developers depending not on their managerial abilities or technical skills but blind loyalty to senior management, that expects a set of cult-like show of obedience whenever they are around. When it comes to working; management sets unreasonable targets and expects people to work day and night without any overtime payment, makes people suffer and once the goal is reached (grossly delayed and over-budget) takes all the credit. Furthermore, the compensation system is out of whack. You may stay in the company as a "Star" employee for 8 years, reach the level of team leader, then learn that you are paid 40% less than a junior in the team you are managing.
