Hi, we need to put the record straight as you had left on a very negative note, which involved you refusing to complete tasks during your notice period, not turning up on the agreed final handover date and more severely, wiping away all data from the company-issued laptop. Which was why we had to terminate your employment prior to you serving your full notice period.
In your 1.5 months with us, despite you still being on probation, we had been very flexible and supportive in granting you long blocks of leave to attend your personal team training and had worked project schedules around your availability.
It was unfortunate to see you had difficulties working as part of our team and was not able to be open with us.
'People First' is one of our core values, which we have been practising since day one in our company, whether on a professional or personal level. I firmly believe most of our clients, current staff, ex-colleagues and freelancers would agree through their experience with us.
And yes, it involves the seemingly "silly" morning routine after our daily StandUpper - which is a best practice we have been running for more than a year that is designed for productivity, clarity and team bonding while starting everyone on an energetic note daily.
I'm sorry that you do not seem to find our weekly team sharing as beneficial as the rest of the team. Again, with 'People First' being part of our core values, getting to know one another as individuals is important, including offering a listening ear or support for matters that happen outside of work. And yes, it means we take time out of the daily work hustle and bustle to create this space, that everyone is able to share as much (or as little) as they are comfortable with.
Remuneration-wise, it is based on experience and proven track record. Our offered salaries are listed transparently on our hiring notices. With that, we are also very detailed in listing the job descriptions for each role we're hiring for.
In your case, off-in-lieus were also granted on a case by case basis, based on mutual discussion and prioritization with the company.
As for transport claims, this has been company policy that was communicated to you and yes, if you have a shoot, as a Producer you are expected to be with the team in the office and set off together via production transport to the location unless arranged otherwise.
If anyone would like more clarifications about our company culture and values, which are definitely not as expressed above by someone who did not find their fit and had left on a very damaging note, please feel free to reach me directly at kai@intuitivefilms.com
