Pros
I had a good experience at Invaluable overall. -The people I worked with were great and I had a lot of respect for everyone. -Work was, for the most part, interesting, and I had a lot of autonomy. -Compensation was fair, outside of temporary salary reductions during COVID. -Company corrected course pretty quickly in late 2020 when leadership changes were a disaster. Full salaries were restored and a new bonus/profit sharing plan was put into place (unclear how that will shake out with aggressive targets moving forward). Simplification of business model seems to be the right approach. -Making an effort to improve diversity (sorely needed).
Cons
-Leadership team has been a revolving door since COVID hit in 2020. -Layoffs and leadership changes in 2020 resulted in many talented people leaving on their own accord afterwards, particularly in engineering. Constant resource constraints as a result. -Competitors have outpaced the company in terms of technology and product development, probably due to resource constraints and constantly shifting priorities from the top down. -Cutting expenses to the point where getting budget for simple necessities can be a real headache. -They are pretty clearly ready to cash out, but with recent consolidation in the industry, it's unclear what the future holds for the company. -Decent PTO policy but late night/weekend emails and slack messages seem to be pretty common. Can feel like a high pressure environment.
