Pros
Good exposure to cases. Approachable team members. Almost all internal training contract applications got through to assessment centre so a good 'foot in the door'. There are genuinely lovely people in the Sheffield office. Work life balance was good. Accommodated flexible working hours, good with short notice AL requests, and 'dress for your day policy' was embraced. I found the Managing Partner, Andrew Tucker, down to earth and approachable.
Cons
Low pay. Earning £16k whilst billing over £200k a year and getting a £500 raise at the end of year review was a little insulting. Ridiculously high work loads placed on inexperienced paralegals with high expectations led to a lot of stress being placed on colleagues with little to no support from most senior members of the team.
