Pros

Admittedly, the most I have ever learned was at JMAN Group, early ownership of projects providing responsibility where you wouldn't get it in other places at graduate level

Cons

CULTURE CULTURE CULTURE I have seen a cliquey culture within the business growing ever since bringing in certain people of the people team. Clear favouritism to a certain demographic (British, Oxbridge, not working class). Dog-eat-dog environment where engagement managers of projects will project blame towards data engineers and associates to save face. Lack of awareness for work-life balance where finishing at 6 is known to be a 'slow' or a 'good' day. Working late is celebrated rather than an issue to be dealt with. From the outside, I have seen that JMAN have 'coincidentally' been laying off those on international visas, I find it hard to believe that all of them are not 'up to standard'. A lot of those in upper management are young and immature in their management style. I really like the CEO, I think the issue in management arises from others around him

Pros

Direct client experience. Fast-paced, intense learning environment.

Cons

The pace can be intense during peak delivery cycles, especially when balancing multiple client priorities - typical of consulting/ finance though.
