Pros
If you can build a good rapport with the Nepotists, you can go far if you like to brown nose. Pay seems a bit higher than competitors, but that doesn't matter with the benefits and 401k match lacking.
Cons
Nepotism is unavoidable. The company is being sued for millions (Alter Domus, LLC v. the Larry J. Winget Living Trust); It is part of the "Venture" family of companies, all owned by Larry Winget (ventureglobal.biz). If you have an improvement idea or question a policy and a Nepotist doesn't like it, then you get fired. They have cash to buy other companies, but not to provide bonuses or prevent layoffs. No real ERG's or resources that similarly-sized publicly-held companies have. HR is incompetent. Benefits are quite lacking (insurance is expensive if you're more than a 1 person household, retirement match is tiny.) They have no written policies available for an employee to view at their leisure - most policies are retained in HR Offices and require specific reasoning to even look at them. The only thing available is a Code of Conduct put together as a Marketing tool. Your experience here fully depends on who your manager is, and how connected and respected your manager is and what they say about you; It doesn't matter how you actually perform.
