Jacobsen is a great stepping stone where you can get your first job out of school and that is it.
Cons
The products put out by Jacobsen while I was there were all very poor and continued to get worse. They did not care about what the customer wanted and instead aimed to design around managers that had never been on a golf course but thought they knew everything. There are many warranty issues with the machines because there is no gate system and when problems are found there is no stop while the release date is still pushed through. The working conditions were dirty and machines were left outside of the test department to rust and rot away on the grass. There were also some very qualified intelligent employees (not myself) with many years experience that managers blatantly ignored because their pride was too big to listen. I think the CEO is doing his best but he doesn't realize how much he is being lied to by the engineering managers. The best workers know to move on. I am happy to have moved on in my career.
