Pros
Great place to work when I started there with clear pathway for progression. Team culture was great within the team that I worked with. Jade has / had a lot of great engineers and architects that are passionate about creating good solutions. Likewise a lot of other people within the organisation work hard to achieve great outcomes for their customers / products. Hybrid ways of working policy is good and so is the insurance cover (although apparently was better for people that have been there for ages) Within my department it was easy to talk to others when problems arose - technical or career related. My immediate managers within my work were amazing people and great to learn from. I did enjoy the time that I worked at Jade (despite the cons that I have listed below).
Cons
Main reason why I left and echoed by other comments here was lack of career progression. Was getting positive feedback across review rounds but no clear advise on how to move up. Strategic change in direction also didn't align with what I was wanting to do. Wage wasn't keeping up with inflation. Others with similar skill sets were leaving for similar roles with big pay bumps (conscious of the current NZ market, 'the great resignation' and huge demand for IT workers at the moment ). In relation to above, a role I believed I was filling in for was advertised for a substantial amount more than what I was on at that time, which lead to an awkward discussion. Since I have left there appears to have been a lot more people that have resigned (but once again could just be because of the current market)
