Pros

- management tends to be kind and friendly. - coworkers tend to also be friendly - the $$ isn’t the most important aspect of ever sale. Often encouraging interactions over robotic sales. - management tends to be understanding with circumstances. - management does try to be helpful in you meeting your budget and improving your skills. - great discount - the systems do a good job of avoiding a need to protect sales -group sales are encouraged and will improve everyone’s stats - get a discount at bootleggers, and two other stores -

Cons

- have a budget and goals etc. but no commission. No real incentive other than hours to sell more than minimum. - hours are super unpredictable if you don’t consistently have decent sales. Definitely have a second job if you have a store that’s not very busy on the regular. - can’t work in any other clothing store if you work here (I know this isn’t abnormal but I consider it a con) - have to wear clothes from the store. - the return policy can ruin future weeks if someone brings something back. there are no rewards for exceptional work. Bonuses, raises etc. Are nigh non existent.

Pros

Good sales experience for those who haven't been in retail before

Cons

Very heavily weighed on the 4 Steps of Selling they teach you and maintaining ridiculously high budgets for overpriced and often, cheap merchandise. Many customers had complained about the sales people being too pushy and pushing them to buy products they didn't want, but felt like they needed to because the employee would not stop pushing it. Employees also have to buy and wear current clothes, which are pretty expensive, even at 50% off. Part-time employees are required to shell out the same amount of money as FT employees, to pay for outfits every few weeks to keep up with current merchandise. And you have to wear what is being sol in store, not even the items that appear only online.
