New VPs in key positions will not hesitate to to dodge responsibility and throw their direct reports under the bus. They will take credit for the thoughtful work that is being done by the junior staff. They will force unproven products into the marketplace and when it doesn't perform as planned, they will double down; making it awkward for the client and the unwilling staff. Of course, the blame will fall on the staff caught in the middle.
