A little biased but Glassdoor won't let me read unless I put something in - C E O Jonar Systems Employee Review

Pros

We have a pretty decent mission; democratizing small business software. More importantly we have a pretty awesome team. Fairly basic HR policy that stats and ends with a mission to treat people as... people. We avoid being overly bound by policy and try to do things that make sense.

Cons

Not enough time in the day. Honestly though, the starting compensation is not yet where we are targeting it will be soon. We do try to start people at the low end of the market value of a new employee and then if all goes well, grow their compensation faster than average in the first two years. Typically in year 3 the goal is to have them meet or exceed what they could be earning elsewhere. Compensation is also done in groups and is transparent. So its ok now, but getting better all the time.

This seems to be a mistake. We have not had any unpaid internships in more than 10 years.

Pros

Good place to start off your career to dip your toes in the professional world. Management does try to focus on your personal development and listens to what you are trying to improve.

Cons

1. The environment is very cliquey, and you can definitely feel excluded from certain groups at times / get the cold shoulder from certain people. 2. It also is an extremely casual environment, and while there are some benefits to this, it's important to remember that this is a workplace and some of the interactions can be perceived as inappropriate. 3. As a business analyst, the majority of your work is essentially customer service.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We strive to give each staff member a positive experience during their time at Jonar so it saddens us to hear this may not have been the case for you. Our goal is always for each new staff member to feel included and part of the overall Jonar team. But, over the past year+ of working remotely, we have faced new challenges to maintain these values of inclusion, respect and team cohesiveness. This is not an excuse so we will take your feedback and try to do better. We will continue to work hard every day to identify and address these challenges. We wish you all the best on your upcoming adventures!
