The company (had) 20 different subsidiaries so if you had the flexibility in your assigned role, you could reach out to other company heads to learn more about their operations and perhaps take on an assignment. I learned and did projects within cable TV, cable telephony, data and fax encryption, cable networks, movie production, satellite radio, high-speed internet access and more.

Sometimes too political. People with little talent were promoted or saved from leaving a role at Jones for another job offer.

Very intelligent co-workers. Great people to work with and collaborate with. Good work and live balance. Easy location to get to from almost anywhere in Denver.

None of the companies within Jones International have any focus or direction. It is like a rudderless ship. Great people trying to do great things but senior management is stifling and will not allow for creative action. Salaries are all over the place. They pay men much more than women.
