Pros
There are many great people working at Jumbo and I respect them a lot as IT professionals. 1. Good work/life balance. 2. Flexibility (depending on the team/domain) 3. Good relocation package
Cons
A few years ago, I would give Jumbo a solid 7 or 8 out of 10. Now I can't recommend it to IT professionals anymore. Despite the great people who work there, the extreme cost-saving measures that sometimes hinder business differentiation and long-term profitability, treating IT as a cost-center rather than helping it become a profit center in long-term, and lack of diversity are amongst the reasons I can't recommend it anymore. Jumbo HQ is very diverse (50+ nationality) but it's not always inclusive. While I was still working there, the majority of the verbal *business* communication, and important company updates were strictly in Dutch. Non-Dutch speakers always needed to consume second-hand information. The policy/promise of being a bilingual company (in my experience) was not realized in practice. Last but not least, I think the compensation and benefits are decent but compared to other *IT companies* are not great.
