Pros
Good co-workers in the Columbus office... Good effort for changes within but stifled by mentality of owners. Hate to say owners, because Shivani is ok to work with, but she stands behind Raj (her husband and business partner) even when he terrorizes the company and makes everyone hate their jobs.
Cons
In this company I have become an expert at thinking very, very quickly on my feet. The unrealistic expectations and demands of all employees, especially designers is insane and it causes this to be a toxic environment to work in every way, every single day. Everyone has to half-ass everything, and even if everyone were to make his or her best effort, it would never be good enough because more work will always be piled on. Even though hiring new designers was supposed to help this work flow but all that did was create the assumption that more work could be added to the load without assisting everyone who was already drowning in their own work. It’s not even remotely possible to design anything with multiple items coming in that are to be “rushed” because someone has over-promised something but it still falls on the designer’s shoulders. Not only does all of this make this job absolutely sickening, but the lack of leadership is the most absurd concept in any company. I have no creative director to go to and the only “fix” to this is for the owner to have his hand in everything. Hire someone that is in the creative field to do that work. Trust your employees for what you hired them for, and let everyone do their jobs without having someone breathe down your neck and micromanage you at all times. Working under a microscope along with the ridiculous deadlines and expectations equate this to a miserable work environment, and I feel bad for all the coworkers I am leaving behind in this mess. Not only is all of this the problem but the lack of respect is the worst I’ve seen. TERRIBLE COMPENSATION AND RELATIVELY NO BENEFITS. I would never recommend this employer to friends or family for that reason alone.
