This post will be long because I want to accurately inform all who consider employment at this company of the negativity you will encounter if you accept a position here. Knowing where to start with all the negatives at KENTECH is hard. They don't even deserve one star. Overall, this company is awful and participates in shifty activities. They really need to be deeply investigated. They misrepresent as a startup, but they have been around since 2006. This company is the most INCOMPETENT and unprofessional I have ever worked for. They frequently make errors in your pay and PTO and make other serious, illegal mistakes. They mix up employees’ paystubs and send them to the wrong employee and mix up employees' pay. When these mistakes are brought to their attention, KENTECH will gaslight you and try and blame you for the problem. Be careful and pay attention to your paystubs because this company will sometimes not pay you for hours worked. Sometimes you are not paid on time and to remedy the situation, they pay you through Zelle, which is odd. They will also go into your timesheet and alter it without your knowledge or approval. Management is not educated on their own company policies, such as short-term disability. This level of incompetence and outright deception is not acceptable. Moving on, you will not be fairly compensated for your work and time. The wages they offer are significantly lower than industry norms, and if you attempt to ask for a pay raise, negotiate pay, or ask for compensation for a promotion, you will be talked down to and made to believe that you are not worth the extra money. They overload their employees with extra work, and instead of paying them, they will try and convince them that the extra workload will “help grow you” and makes them “team players.” They dangle the promise of a promotion in front of you in an attempt to incentivize you, but instead of promoting deserving, existing employees that have more than proven their worth and skill, they constantly hire outside the company. This brings me to the alarmingly high turnover rate. This company cannot keep good employees. The turnover rate is so high that everyone on the team expects it. It is a revolving door of incoming/outgoing employees, and the company complains that they don’t understand why there is such a high turnover, but employees are miserable, and morale is so low. Management is so delusional and clueless on how to properly treat the employees who make this company. When you do an interview, you will be promised things that are not true. The pure dishonesty from Management in this company is disgusting. As mentioned in other reviews, the 5-star reviews about this company are not authentic. Management writes these reviews to bump up the company’s rating on job sites. All the verbiage is similar, and mentions of “work-life balance,” “flexible hours,” “outstanding training,” and “no micromanagement” are outright lies. This company does not offer any of these things. Working for this company is not good for your physical, mental, or emotional health. They give you an unrealistic workload with an even more unrealistic turnaround time. You are essentially forced to work through lunches and breaks off the clock but are threatened with disciplinary action if they find out you do this; however, they make you beg for any bit of overtime/flextime, so you are immediately set up for failure to make the ridiculous deadlines. Management is extremely obsessed with metrics and focuses only on them, not on employees' well-being. You will work yourself to exhaustion and create unreasonable stress by accepting a position with this toxic, hostile company. Do yourself a favor and completely avoid anything having to do with them. If you do decide to work for them, best of luck to you. You will soon see exactly what they are about.
