Pros

There is no pro's to working at KFP

Cons

Management have no experience in the field of work they deliver projects for. Field Techs are constantly run into the ground. The big boss enforced staff to post good reviews on here to make the company look good. Extremely high turnover of staff, no careers are safe at KFP Management are inappropriate with clients, excessive drinking and making the company look poor. Everybody has to sweeten the big boss for fear of losing their jobs Big boss will use you for what he needs and bounce you out the door the second he's got what he wanted Health and safety isn't a thing here at KFP, nobody has formal training or procedures in place to safeguard field operatives. Your expected to bring your own tools for the job, if your van gets broken into whilst at work the company will NOT reimburse you as this pushes up their insurance premiums. If you need tools, they provide the cheapest poundshop tools. Bullying is extremely common Field Techs aren't trained or hold the correct certification for working on sites

Pros

The office is really diverse, which makes a nice change. Everyone is very welcoming and I feel very comfortable in the office. Lots of people in the team and office seem to be friends outside of work but majority of people are very nice in the office. The senior management is really good. The HR team is always available, onsite and I feel like I can approach them with anything I need and know they'll be really helpful. It feels like HR are there for the employees as much as the managers. The work is fun. You learn a lot in your probation and there are lots of different customers and ways to process tickets. I have heard or know of people that have moved around within the business and some of them have started in the service desk. I feel like this is a good start to my career in IT. I like the shift pattern personally.

Cons

Pay is average. I have seen a lot of reviews by people who have left that say negative things about the management. Apparently these were all friends that were a bit of a clique and not very nice and seem bitter. Because the business is small there aren't a lot of opportunities to move up in the business. There have been different people managing the service team but the senior leaders always step in when needed. sometimes other departments aren't very patient.

Pros

There is lots of overtime available. They're pretty flexible with time off and personal needs. They don't tolerate bad teammates which is good if you're one who does their job properly. The work is pretty easy and not always technical - so if you want an easy paycheck then this is good. They sort of leave you to it unless they need something. You are given a van and company card so you do not need to spend your own money. The HR induction and team support was very good. It's nice to be shown around and meet different teams. The finance team were always helpful - even if I fell behind on my admin and receipts. There's always someone or a department responsible for each part of the job so you can just call up if you need something.

Cons

Average salary. There is lots of travel but it;s the nature of the beast when working out in the field. Sometimes you get PCNs when it's not your fault but that's more the councils fault - they help you appeal. If you're more experience, they lean on you a bit more. The work isn't very technical - it's 80% courier and 20% technical. Sometimes it's hard to get in touch with your manager. Not a lot of progression but that's normal for engineers.
