Pros

Pretty laid back job when working leasing on weekends

Cons

Management is very unorganized, stated that there would be very light housekeeping and the job eventually turned into more housekeeping than leasing. Also stated weekends only but they require housekeeping on weekdays

Anyone that suggests you lie to potential residents would/will be fired. We don't lie to anyone or abide anyone that suggests you should. You were hired as weekend leasing agent and when the need for the position dried up, we offered you the opportunity to do some housekeeping in order to keep you employed while you were in school. Anyone in the business knows that move-in specials change - and can do so weekly - depending on availability. The rental rates and move in specials are set by market conditions, price per square foot, availability, and trends. While you were not expected to understand the changes, suggesting that we misled prospects is patently untrue and unfair. You should know this. While disappointed with what you wrote, I wish you the best in all your future endeavors.

Pros

The pay is competitive and bonus are ok. The benefits are great!!! They match 401K and give individual Insurance for free. Advancement to management fairly easy as long as you work hard.

Cons

Politics...politics..politics!!! If you're not in with the incrowd at Corporate or you don't brown nose 24/7 to corporate supervisors.......you better be prepared for working in hell. You work overtime yet they won't pay you for it!!

It is a violation of the FLSA to refuse to pay overtime as well as Texas Workforce Commission. Overtime is defined as physically working more than 40 hours in one week. We have never refused to pay anyone that has worked overtime - nor would we. "Politics" is not something that impacts site staff employees - particularly a former assistant manager. All any employer can expect is for you to do your job. If you do not, then supervisors take disciplinary action. That is the way of all employment. I am always available to all employees to reach out to me directly with any personnel issues. Hope all employees will do so in order to resolve any animosity in the workplace.
