Pros

Fantastic co-workers, great benefits, work from home opportunity, being apart of an industry that is rapidly growing, fast paced and they make you feel important. The values spoke to me. Everyone is pleasant to work with and very hardworking. Dynamic and challenging work, and great relationships formed with property managers around the nation. This company was rapid growing and it was exciting to complete tasks and build together a beautiful space for the guests. They really encouraged feedback and to take lead on internal projects to improve processes

Cons

Unfortunately, in the world of startups, there is very little clarity in expectations. I was immediately thrown into a project which took a little longer to complete than initially expected, especially without training or understanding deliverables. Training was all over the place in my department. The training structure wasted valuable time - I traveled for training, and was shown only 1 task-oriented process that I could have learned to do on my own. -This company has an opportunity to learn and improve from the past, really care for your employees - work was piled on without prioritizing, setting unrealistic expectations. -Long days - on the clock and pinged 24/7, no designated work/life balance, nor encouragement to keep a balance. -Everyone is expected to have an answer for "Are you excited about Kasa" at all times. Maybe you’re having a bad day personally so it’s hard to be excited, yet you’re still expected to be oozing enthusiasm for even the most mundane data entry tasks. -No clear priorities were given. Not everything can be a priority - when everything is expected to be a priority, nothing is a priority. The work is always shifting from task to task, with no time for employee development nor growth. -When you’re told “not to worry” about a specific project or task, you definitely should. “Do not worry” to me means it goes to the bottom my my task list, below everything else. But I would be asked about where I was in those tasks from another supervisor and asked why I didn’t finish them, and it was only because I was working diligently to complete what I felt to be the biggest priorities.

Thank you for the honest feedback. We're glad you had the opportunity to experience our fast growth, create positive relationships with property managers nationwide, and worked alongside hardworking and passionate team members. That said, we can always do better, and appreciate you addressing your concerns about training, expectation setting, and work/life balance during a period of rapid growth. We certainly do not intend for this growth to come at the cost of our employees' happiness. We have reviewed this feedback internally and will continue making many adjustments to our training and operations. Our goal is to ensure that Kasa team members feel supported throughout their career and we value feedback that helps us improve. If you have any additional suggestions or questions please reach out to us at PeopleOpsTeam@kasa.com.

Pros

Great company, excellent benefits good people to work with. Very motivated people. Good opportunities for advancement if you work hard.

Cons

Can be a lot of work as it is a start up type of environment with lots of expansion. Totally manageable though.

Pros

Remote work, most colleagues are cool

Cons

Like most companies, Kasa seems like a "fast-paced environment," but it's largely just barely organized chaos. We hop from one crisis to another with no time to regroup. The company goes from periods of "we made it!" to freefall multiple times a year. We recently absorbed a competitor and that was nothing short of chaotic. Absorbed employees never knew if they were safe, one person was assigned to a new team and new manager, given projects and a roadmap, and 24 hours later she was terminated. Senior leadership all have degrees from fancy schools but have no real clue of the problems faced by entry level. I've heard "just fix it" so many times over the years, but each time we "Just fix it" someone is extremely unhappy about how it was fixed. No real growth or significant conversation, just more responsibility disguised as promotions.
