Pros
Amazing Norwegian Scenery, kayaking most days 8 - 10 hours on the water. Meeting a load of new people. Usually the tips were good, especially for the longer trips.
Cons
My second season at KMT was difficult, the owner lied about losing his business premises that year and essentially his plan was to move his "Operations Base" to his family home. I flew over to Norway expecting accommodation as discussed though I ended up sleeping in a tent in his garden all summer. Also there was talk of a 'real Norwegian salary' I got paid one month out of the 3 months I was there. There was always trouble with the accountant or some excuse. I was sharing the facilities in the house with his family and as I was a chef was expected to cook most days for his family. Essentially the owner Jonathan is a liar, he's manipulative, bitter and sociopathic and only cares about profit and not necessarily what the right thing to do is. It's a shame as I enjoyed my first season with KMT. Before the premises was lost.
